      B. Non-Proportional Treaty Reinsurance:

      • Excess of Loss (XoL): The reinsurer covers losses that exceed a specified amount.
      • Stop Loss: Provides protection against the accumulation of many losses.

  3. For Facultative Reinsurance:

    • Calculations can be either proportional or non-proportional, depending on the agreement.
    • Often involves more complex, case-by-case calculations based on the specific risk being reinsured.
  4. Exposure Rating:

    • Used when there’s limited loss experience.
    • Estimated Loss = (Exposure) × (Expected Loss Rate) × (Increased Limit Factor)
  5. Experience Rating:

    • Considers past loss experience to predict future losses.
    • Adjusted Rate = (Base Rate) × (Actual Losses ÷ Expected Losses)
